When people register to attend our events, PEI collects their names, job titles, organisations, email addresses, and phone numbers. When people sign up to receive our email newsletter, or sign-up to the PEI exChange platform, we collect the same information.

Why is the data being collected?
PEI collects your data so that we can keep you up-to-date with our activities through our email newsletter, relevant updates regarding the PEI exChange platform and send you invitations to attend our events. We process this data as a legitimate interest in order to promote the PEI’s work.
How long will your data be kept for?
Your data will be kept securely until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive our email newsletter and/or invitations to our events.
Who will it be shared with?
We will not sell or rent your data to any third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share selected data with third parties who, in accordance with our processor service agreements provide specific services to us. These include organisations such as our email communications with you and IT providers, to ensure we can provide certain services to you. We ensure that all precautions are taken to protect your data and require third parties to respect the security of your data and to treat it in accordance with the law. They act only in accordance with our instructions and they agree to keep your personal data confidential and secure.

Cookies are a small text file created by a website that is stored on the users computer, providing a way for the website to recognise you and keep track of your browsing preferences.
Cookies help us improve our website. A cookie does not enable us to access your computer or any information about you. PEI uses Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns, including the number of visitors to various pages on the site. We are not able to use this data to identify any individual user. PEI does not make, and does not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
We use MailChimp to deliver our newsletter and store contact information. This is a password encrypted service provider (read about MailChimp security here). PEI gathers statistics around open and click-through rates using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. You can unsubscribe from general our general mailing list at anytime by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the email or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
You have the right to determine whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not wish to receive our email newsletter, communications about the PEI exchange and/or invitations to our events, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes on the form on which we collect your information.
