We are delighted to announce that one of our Trustees, Sir Magdi Yacoub, will be giving a keynote address at the Middle East, Mediterranean and Cardiovascular Clinical Trialists Forum (The MEMA CVCT) from 21st-22nd September in Cairo, Egypt.
An energetic and highly motivational meeting, MEMA CVCT 2017 focuses on clinical clinical research that is shaping future practice in cardiovascular, cardiorenal and cardiometabolic diseases. The conference aims to examine important clinical research issues relating to methodology, interpretation, approval and implementation of recent, ongoing and future trials, and registry data.
CVCT brings together a large international faculty of international experts involved in cardiovascular clinical trials, with the unique mix of stakeholders, including top cardiovascular scientists and trial methodologists, Industry R&D and governmental regulatory experts.
At present, the Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa (MEMA) accounts for a very small percentage of high-standard health knowledge and actionable data. Health policy and clinical practice in the region also needs to become more data-driven and evidence-based so that local patients receive high-quality and cost-effective health care.
